Great for the local council to get into cryptic crosswords but I can’t solve this 🤷‍♂️

My partner said she was glad my midlife crisis of cryptic crosswords was a sedate one and not something mad like motorbikes, crypto or flag hanging. Not sure if a compliment or not.

Why is it that everytime my partner interrupts me doing The Listener Crossword I am colouring something in with my felt tips? I am sure she thinks I am doing dot to dot or similar.

Finally given up on Twitter and downloaded this. Not sure how 90% of my feed is right wing politics when I only search and follow geocaching, wrestling and crosswords.
