This past weekend the Department of Statistical Sciences at UofT hosted 25 highschool students to celebrate girls and women in statistics for our annual Florence Nightingale Day event! We played stats games, did some sampling, talked about algorithms and coded some visualizations! So much fun!

Spent the day promoting Census at School Canada at a BC Math Teachers conference (BCAMT). Census at School is a program for K-12 students to take a survey & analyze data about themselves! Its free, easy to use & very engaging, making it fun for students & teachers (and parents). 🔗 censusatschool.ca
