Interesting response from Khaldoon. The completely innocent statement is meaningless: they are as innocent as other major clubs. The fair and partial aspects are very interesting. Imagine if the PL was aware of another major club that had systematically and significantly broken rules...

The City case shows that no one will ever be allowed to challenge the so called big 4. They are so far ahead financially, having done exactly what City did, that it simply isn't possible to catch up without a level of investment forbidden by PL. If you try, they will fucking get you.

These rules were brought in to stop City. They didn't exist before 2008. Owners should have spent 100s of £ms fighting the unjustness of the rules in 2008 instead of accepting them and then apparently hiding their non-compliance. One approach = total respect Other = shame & ignomy

Wow. City guilty! Leaving aside that the rules broken were unfair in themselves, if you know the rules you have to follow them. If City haven't followed them in a serious way then frankly they deserve what's coming. Only question now is will the owners take the Premier League down with them?

FFS, it all stems from the ridiculous Profit & Sustainability Rules designed to protect the richest clubs against competition. Sell & it helps with PSR immediately, buy and it impacts over the length of the contract. So they trade players between English clubs. www.theguardian.com/football/202...
