Got curious about the magic shop guy in Now You See Him... and holy shit I was not expecting such a fun and random Thing I Know connection

Living the lobsters stuffed with tacos lifestyle
"Now You See Him..." is my favorite Columbo; Sargent Wilson returns and is obviously traumatized by the last time he worked with Columbo, Jack Cassidy is back as another slimy murderer, and i hate magicians and really enjoy how completely over their bullshit Columbo is throughout the whole thing
Ordering an irresponsible amount of Chinese food to keep the good times rolling
I have SO MUCH CANDY, and a cotton candy cake someone sent me, and a chocolate cupcake shaped Bash Cake which is hollow and you hit it with the included mallet and it's full of MORE CHOCOLATES. I also got a throw blanket at the candy store bc i love throw blankets and candy
Happy Birthday to the one and only Stefa! Join us next week for a special screening of She-Devil in her honor; it's going to be a blast!

THE LEGO STORE IS CLOSED I'M SO SAD, i only have an unhinged amount of candy to comfort meeeee

Yay it's my August birthday today!!
It’s your August birthday!!!
At some point the people making The Adventures of Pete and Pete figured out they could meet all the cool musicians they wanted by casting them in random roles and bless them for it
Yay that's me and my movie pick!! Thank you to the wonderful people at @favoritebadmovie.bsky.social for letting me choose this month's movie, and i hope you'll all join us for what is, in my opinion, Meryl Streep at her absolute funniest

100%, if you think you're too smart to fall for something and don't learn how and why people fall for those kinds of things you are very likely to fall for them too. Human brains are squishy and vulnerable to being manipulated, being smart has nothing to do with it
She's spitting. She is simply spitting
Had the most intense craving for those instant mashed potatoes, and yeah i made myself a nice balanced meal to go with them but truly it was all about that specific Boxed Mashed Potato taste and texture (I know how to mash real potatoes, if i wanted those i would have made them, i wanted these)
There's also a robot in a townhome in Fallout 3 that will recite the story for you fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Townhome

There Will Come Soft Rains by Ray Bradbury
The voice-clock sang, breakfast was ejected, but no doors slammed. The garage chimed and lifted its door to reveal the waiting car. The house sat alone in a city of rubble and…

Just gotta get through today then I don't have to deal with work again until next Tuesday
Watching the Columbo with Lesley Ann Warren: Britta's mom is in this!
Columbo is on a cruise ship! In one scene he has a festive shirt on and i was like "why is the camera following this rando in the loud shirt for so long?" before i realized it was him
Back on my Columbo related Wikipedia searches bullshit and what a delightful thing to learn about Patrick McGoohan
Big plans to treat myself to a visit to the Lego store on Wednesday which is my birthday, even added my Lego Insiders Card to my phone so I'll get points for whatever nonsense i end up bringing home
Planty when i first got it back in early July 2025 and Planty yesterday, i am very proud of how much it's grown!
Dick Van Dyke is legit scary in his Columbo, it's such a fun change of pace from him
My constant companion piece during a Columbo rewatch, The Inflation Calculator, tells me that the $5 million tabernacle in Swan Song would be $33.8 million in 2026 dollars, and like yeah Tommy Brown was a gross creep but that is still a fucking LOT of money to spend on a tabernacle
Gonna take that little green guy in the middle there as a sign that Planty likes its new home
I now own a watering can so I can take better care of Planty, it's too heavy now to bring over to the sink to water so i will bring the water to Planty
I had plans to get stuff done after physical therapy today but i am SO tired from it so it's feeling like a couch and nap day
The TV at the physical therapy office today was playing some supercut of Steve Harvey Family Feud, not full episodes just random categories, and it's weird how i started off mostly ignoring it to eventually being really invested
