Some are claiming we can’t clean up British politics by capping what individuals can donate to political parties because that would risk MP security - I spoke to The Newsagents about why both issues need addressing and the dangers of conflating them for our democracy.

As currently written, the asylum bill will solve few problems and likely create more - last night I spoke up in Parliament again to urge ministers not to make this mistake. I cannot support this bill as it stands if they do.

Will always defend right to organise as a human right, including right to collectively organise donations through a trade union. We must not let that established and regulated system be used to prevent us closing loophole that will exist if we only cap individual donations from overseas postcodes.

Generations of kids in Walthamstow have had the best start in life thanks to Maddy Auty - it was a privilege to help say thank you for her 26 years of teaching service at Stoneydown Park School as she retires this year.

If we want more disabled people to be able to work we must tackle the discrimination disabled people face finding work and in the workplace. Good to hear the minister set out recognition of this and the work being done - will continue to advocate for action to ensure talent is never overlooked.
