I love the idea of fostering community amongst researchers and practitioners. The two fields must be connected if PreK-12 students are going to have meaningful learning experiences that prepare them for the American workforce of the future.

MEET OUR TEAM
I really hope that the Center will create clearer pathways for researchers—especially those new to the STEM K–12 program—to develop competitive proposals and impactful projects.
I also hope that the Center helps researchers connect with broader audiences and build partnerships that extend the reach and impact of their projects in meaningful ways into classrooms and school systems.

Meet Dr. Jessaca Spybrook!  Dr. Spybrook, Co-PI and Professor of Research Methods at the @sc.edu, is the Center’s Capacity Building lead. She oversees events to advance #STEMEd professionals’ research knowledge and skills.   Here’s what she had to say about the Center.

My hope is that the Center will be valuable for both new and experienced PreK-12 STEM education researchers. We will provide resources and opportunities for researchers at all levels to build research skills, learn more about STEM education, and network with each other.
