I continue to be deeply disappointed in so many actors who participated in that HP audiobook. It's such an easy thing to not do.

JKR explicitly said she considers anything Potter-related, even fan-made, endorsement of her politics. And every time you engage with this franchise, you signal to the industry that there's still money in it and they should keep pumping out content from full-cast audiobooks to book box partnerships.

I think the framing of political thought as existing on a spectrum you can easily visualize is maybe one of the most insidious ways that people are encouraged to just pick their "team" and be done with it.

I generally like Hank Green, but his lack of skepticism when it comes to LLMs has been frustrating. I think it comes from a good place: usually in a scientific field you should try to find the experts and defer to them. Unfortunately many of those people are deliberately misrepresenting the tech.
