Recently acquired a new (old) laptop. Took the required photo.
Coming back to modelling with something different to get my skills back up. Can you guess the engine already?
So for those curious, as I'm not getting TpF3 yet, what of Project Century? Well, I am looking at making it a mod for TpF2 now, replacing all my older Early Rail mods and simplifies everything into one mod that can be easily supported and expended. Working on getting myself back up to speed
I am thinking of getting back into modding and making 3D models, though unfortunately not for TpF3 though, as my hardware is not up to snuff.
To whom it may be of interest. The insides of a SEGA MegaDrive
This week, I have mostly been rendering Blenkinsop Rack Locomotives.
Project Century update: Done nothing. Had the morbs. Will probably hyperfocus on some random evening and a bunch of new vehicles will appear.
Putting all this effort into Project Century is fun and all, but will people really play Transport Fever in 1800 with very primitive steam engines?
I have finally updated my BETA version of Project Century. Want to play the mod before everyone else? Get on my Patron and support this absolutely bonkers idea!

Four more enhanced Transport Fever screenshots, featuring my models. This is how TpF2 looks in my head when I play 😁 I'm not claiming any effort here btw. I know this is lazy but I'm just having fun.. already spent hours making the mods as it is. Original screenshots to follow.
So I messed up my version control with Project Century and kinda broke the mod. Was going to release a new Patron BETA today but looks like I'm spending my time bug fixing. May have one for tonight but it's looking flakey.

I realise that this may lose me favour or followers, and I respect that. I had a staunch anti-ai standpoint until recently, but I think I need to learn acceptance and learn to use this technology as a tool to aid in creativity than something to pretend doesn't exist.
There are many opinions about image manipulation technology, mostly to do with consent, training data and human involvement. Despite that, I have fed one of these models some of my own TpF2 screenshots featuring my own 3D models to see what happened. Feel free to hate this. These are the results:

The next addition to Project Century is this tiny little engine from 1814, Blucher.
Want to know what is in Project Century as of right now? Here's a little vehicle list. It is expanding quickly. My older models are getting either extensively reworked or just remade from scratch entirely. www.patreon.com/posts/148350...

New screenshots of Project Century engines and rolling stock. Still very WIP but it's coming along
*walks into garden centre* Hey you got any of them retro plants that always face you and are wafer thin?
Blenkinsop's Salamanca locomotive cogs it's way into TpF2. I can't currently figure out a way to make it mesh to a rack on the rail, but I'm experimenting.
