Check out our preliminary human-in-the-loop optimization work for powered ankle prostheses. While our algorithm explicitly aimed to increase ankle angle symmetry (and was successful), it also reduced risk factors of hip and knee OA as a side effect. #biomech ieeexplore.ieee.org/abstract/doc...
