I will never understand how we went from 9/11 and fighting terrorism to reframing terrorists into the good guy “resistance fighters” and not sure how this will end. #upsidedownworld

When I'm not sure what to worry more about: rising sea levels or raising levels of fascism, I just imagine storm floods washing away stormtroopers. *sigh*
If you are only *now* concerned about multi-metre global sea level rise from ice sheets, even at +1.5C global mean temperature rise, then you haven't been paying attention. It was in the last IPCC reports, there have been multiple studies published and policy briefs. We know it's coming. ❄️🧪🥼⛏️🌊
On the left, the guy who ordered his 15-man death squad to kill and dismember American journalist Khashoggi in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul. On the right, the former leader of Al Qaeda with a $10m US bounty on his head. And in the middle, the most corrupt US President in history.

The "Cost of Inaction" is a fallacy. If the prospect has been losing money for a long time, they know they can keep bleeding and still be fine. The "why now" remains in the room. You need to show them that the cost of inaction is growing! It'll kill them some day. Only that creates urgency.
