White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller was vehement in his loathing of Starfleet Academy. Skydance has another major acquisition pending, one that will require government approval. They cancelled the show to make Miller happy.

What pisses me off is these channels preying on people, weaponising any critique, and directing so much vitriol towards the cast and crew. They are bad faith actors, grifting by causing misery, and not caring about anything they rant about. You can critique something without being a piece of shit

Starfleet Academy hate is so fucking forced, hyperbolic and frankly often toxic racist and bigoted, it just angers me that the algorithm STILL rewards this kind of rage-baiting bullshit. Not that they will, but YouTube needs to fix its shit with rewarding this assholery.
