Went to bid farewell to my local punk club, which has gone belly up. They had one last blowout/fundraiser so their employees can at least get paid one last time.

Anyway, I participated in a Nyabinghi drumming and chanting workshop earlier today - Google it - and it was loads of fun! Any excuse to bang on a bongo is good enough for me, but I really had a great time.
Nowadays when you buy a ticket through Ticketmaster, they spam you with 3rd party deals the moment you make the purchase. As long as you share all your data with those 3rd parties, that goes without saying. In the meantime, the latest independent venue in my hometown has just been throttled. 🤮🤬

Well then, I'm 3 for 3 this week with new albums that I expected more of. Both the Allah-Las and Alabama Shakes records are downright disappointing, while the Linda Lindas album - and I really hate to say this - definitely features a few lesser tracks, that synth pop tune at the start most of all.

The Dutch Grand Prix is happening about 10 kilometres from where I live, but I'm watching at home. As much as I love #F1, I couldn't bear the circus that surrounds it on the whole, and the "Orange Army" in particular.
