In developing a re-usable workflow for my teaching in Applied Geodata Science, I re-implemented the creation of this animation: The dance of global mean temperature and atmospheric CO2 reconstructions from ice core data, and (seamlessly extending) Earth system model simulations for the future.

5. A big part of the problem, ironically, is that natural regen is much cheaper/free, so there's less money to be made from it. There's an industrial lobby which profits from planting grim rows of trees in plastic tubes. There is no industrial lobby profiting from letting nature do its thing.
