One time I thought I'd give AI a proper chance, a couple of months ago just asked my glasses what time the next bus from where I was left. It confidently told me a time. Which was completely wrong. Until they get rid of the "may be completely bollocks" caveat this stuff is basically useless.

Super Mousse must have survived until at least 1974 if the date of this is as reported. Here we wee the moose resplendent in tiny blue budgie smugglers in a cross promotion with other Cadbury brands featuring some kind of board game.

Perhaps there's a clue here. The 2.5p price wrapper is earlier than the adjacent 2p wrappers. And look, it says "Fry's chocolate coated nougatine whip" on that wrapper but just anonymous "chocolate covered nougatine whip" on the others. All the proper comic Super Mousse ads show the blue bar at 2.

Here's the insipid white non-superhero moose running some kind of competition. Bring back the proper moose! 🫎

In fact closer inspection of the previous ad I posted with the foreign stamp offer also states that the Super Mousse is "only available in the Midlands and South of England" due to "fantastic demand" (by which I think they really mean "because it's a test launch"). 🫎

I found a SUPER MOUSSE 🫎 ad comic dating back to 1970, earlier than I thought. The price is given as 6d, and there is a note saying that Super Mousse bars may not be available yet in your area. Perhaps it was still in a restricted local test launch area at that point.

Maybe it was the price increase from 2p to 2.5p that did for the Super Mousse bar in the end. 🫎
