Both P5 classes visited Duncarron Medieval Village near Carron Valley where we had two guides lead us through a selection of Roman activities. Great day, poor weather!
As part of outdoor learning day, #P5S practised times tables and number sequences through running races and worked together to assemble a jumbled story into the correct order. We also used flash cards to order into a variety of numbers such as largest, smallest, odd, multiple of ten etc…

P7F have been extracting DNA from Strawberries as part of our STEM day with Forth Valley College! Very cool!
#P5S have recently been working in small groups to draw and paint giant Roman soldiers as part of our topic.
Champions Again! Our fantastic basketball team have retained their title, winning the Falkirk Primary Schools Championship. Thanks to John Bunyan who trains our team every week and Active Schools for running the league. Well done to all the teams who took part and were fantastic opponents.

Thank you to the grandparent that gave up her time to sort through our lost property. The items we have left unnamed has been sorted into age groups and is available at all times throughout the day to check. Other items are in classes which children can check.
Mr Steel and #P5S have made a small social seating area under the trees on the hill for children to enjoy using old tyres and a repurposed wood panel.
P5 were learning to use negative numbers on a number line through golf. We made crazy golf courses and worked out scores by adding or subtracting negative numbers!⛳️
P5 were learning to partition numbers up to 10,000 by constructing dinosaurs made out of base 10 blocks!🦖🦕🧱
Primary 6 I took our learning outdoors today. We calculated our speed by recording how fast we ran 5 M, 10 M, 20 M and 25 M. We then used the formula Speed = Distance / Time to calculate how fast we ran per second.
Kids had a great time visiting our Valentine's Sale today at morning break - items will be on sale again tomorrow at break 😜
