Recently we have been to the @embo.org Workshop "Plant evolution: from origins to diversification on land": 3 days of great scientific talks from experts in the field! PhD student Miki Iida took the opportunity to present a poster about her work on stomatal development in spruce🌲and fern 🌿

Check our new preprint: We identified that stomatal developmental regulators SPCH/MUTE and FAMA in non-angiosperm plants display broader functions than their angiosperm homologs, however, they already show some functional divergence needed to drive specific stages of stomatal development ⬇️

Just before summer started, we had the pleasure to host Kimmy Oh, from Academia Sinica (sites.google.com/g.ntu.edu.tw...). This was the perfect chance for insightful talks and to listen and get inspired by the presentation she gave in our seminar series. Thanks for the great scientific exchange!
