One of the greatest Kennedy Center Honors performances ever: Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart, Jason Bonham on drums, and Shane Fontayne on electric guitar. It moved Robert Plant to tears as he watched alongside Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones. (Edited for format)

You know what we don't talk enough about? Queen & Annie Lennox/David Bowie rehearsing 'Under Pressure' in 1992. So much going on! Everyone's clothes, Bowie with a lit cig throughout, where Annie PROPER GOES FOR IT, George Michael singing along in the background. The amazing vocals. Yes, please!

Danish seismologist Inge Lehmann discovered the Earth's inner core, 1936. This fundamentally changed our understanding of the Earth's interior. Her discovery is attributed in large part to her incredible ability to interpret complex seismic records by hand. She was born #OTD in 1888. #WomenInSTEM

A vintage sepia-toned portrait photograph of Danish seismologist Inge Lehmann taken in 1932, at around age 44. She is posed formally against a softly draped curtain backdrop, gazing directly at the camera with a calm, intelligent, and composed expression. She has short, neatly waved dark hair and wears a simple, elegant dark blouse or dress with a light-colored V-neck insert or scarf tied loosely. The photographer's signature, "Nachtwey 1932," appears in the lower right corner in a flowing script. The image captures her poised and thoughtful demeanor during the early years of her groundbreaking career in seismology, before her landmark discovery of Earth's solid inner core in 1936.

Doesn't matter if the performance itself is staged. The fact is, talented musicians coming together and giving a performance in a public space means the masses get to witness this for free and that's beautiful. TT: Raphaël Froissart IG: Michel Tirabosco ~ Pan flute

A viral dog rescue from 2016 is now immortalized with a statue in Kazakhstan. When a dog fell into the Sayran reservoir, bystanders formed a human chain to pull him to safety. The statue is a reminder of the value of unity, solidarity and collective action. 14/10 for all
