Feeling so defeated. Went to order some groceries and I didn't check my account. Overdrawn by 61 bucks. now I have 12 bucks left. I love my job but man do I miss stable bi weekly checks.
Apple charges people ~20% more than the Patreon list price and they keep the difference for themselves. They also hold the proceeds of iOS app sales for 75 days, making it impossible for creators to accurately predict earnings. They basically inserted themselves in order to rip *more* people off

This is a good call out. But also no artist will EVER reach out first in private messages or dms trying to get you to commission. No client is going to actually offer you 2x or more the amount your asking for.

The TOS being so strict that they control you offsite is the problem; sites like Patreon and Kofi have offsite clauses too. The social criminalization of the suggestion that somewhere you might be doing nsfw is a problem. It's branding a person as obscene and we need consumers to stand up for us

Just a small reminder. Their are REAL people behind the creations that you love. Real people, with real grief, lives, ups and down. You are not entitled to know everything going on behind the screen to treat people with a bit of human decency and respect.
i currently have $20 sitting inaccessible to me because people pledged using the ios app and hat money is held where i cannot withdraw it for THREE MONTHS. twenty isn't much, but at times it has been like over a hundred dollars that i can't access for months. ios is awful.
