We are beyond delighted to start welcoming our guest contributors over the next few days! First up is BLASPHEMYANDTHEBOYS, an author with a gift for writing horror with teeth and heart, pairing an incredible imagination with prose that is almost physical in its intensity. Find him on tumblr & AO3

A writing sample in italicised script sits framed within a gothic archway. A banner at the top of the arch says 'Knight of Scribes', and on the sill at the bottom is (from left to right) a vase of flowers, a blood spattered book with the author's tumblr and AO3 handles on the left page, and their name 'BLASPHEMYANDTHEBOYS' in red text on the right page, and a simplified skull. The text in the center reads as follows: "Darling, are you sleepwalking?" Sanji asked, crouching down to pull her hair back out of her face. Sure enough, Nami's eyes were blankly staring ahead, not aware of him at all. How did she not wake up from the cold? Her expression was strange, chin down and cheeks stuffed like she held a mouthful of water. Just his luck, she probably fell asleep hungry and went looking for something to tide her over. Didn't explain the yelling, but hey, he couldn't see what she was dreaming about. "Spit it out," he ordered gently, hand under her chin. Whatever it was, it couldn't be real food. Nami swayed in place, lips firmly shut and unseeing eyes blinking slow. He wrapped an arm around her shoulders to steady her, and repeated himself to better results. Eyes turned up toward the ceiling, her mouth fell open to drop a spit drenched and very much alive spider into the palm of his hand.
