The history of Charlottesville is so rich. Here is a beautiful family portrait from June 19th, 1912. Location: Charlottesville’s old Kellytown neighborhood - nearby current day intersection of Preston Avenue & Madison Avenue. Photographer: Rufus W. Holsinger

Timeline cleanser: If you can, walk through a creek, explore a new trail, let your inner child shine. Wissahickon Valley Park lets you do all of those things & more. What a gem to have in the Philadelphia area.

The weirdest coincidence just happened. I found out that my Great (x7) Grandpa Rev. Johann Philip Streiter, the first “Strider” to migrate from Germany to Philadelphia, landed on Sept. 26th, 1737 - while Benjamin Franklin (only 31 years old) was working a few blocks away at the Philadelphia Gazette.

Timeline cleanser: There’s something so cute about watching a baby Sparrow (or any other bird) discover the world around them. This one decided she wanted some cuddles from this Tortoise yard decoration made of stone.
