Renewable energy engineer. Offshore wind, onshore wind, green hydrogen. MSc renewable energy. Saving the world one project at a time. Militant vegetarian trying to kick the cheese habit. CCS and blue hydrogen are pure greenwash bullshit.

We know how to decarbonise our energy systems. We know how to decarbonise road and rail transportation. We know how to produce low carbon cement and steel. Humanity doesn’t have to suffer ever worse heatwaves and droughts. We can avoid this.

Loading the dice. The weather conditions driving the devastating fires in Spain were ~20× more likely because of human-caused climate change, and ~2× more likely in France. Of course, the spark matters...but the conditions decide the scale. www.worldweatherattribution.org/climate-chan...

The ocean isn’t just overheating, it’s LOSING ITS BREATH. Scientists say global waters have already lost around 2% of their oxygen, pushing marine life towards an “unsafe space” with potentially irreversible impacts. Protect the oceans, stop new oil and gas.

Some still erroneously defend baseload power as if electricity systems haven't changed in 100 years. Solar. Wind. Batteries. AI. EVs. Demand response. Distributed generation. Objective hasn't changed, but optimal way of delivering reliable electricity. #Bettrification #SWB #Renewables

Beyond Baseload: The Evolution of Energy Grids

Baseload power is outdated. Discover why flexibility, renewables, and smart grids are the future—and why we don’t need 'always-on' coal or nuclear.

It's a point I've been trying to make for a long time: there is no good way to meet even 10% of current demand for animal products. They trash the living world, whichever way you do it. If you want to reduce your impact, switch to a plant-based diet. www.theguardian.com/environment/...

I have known Le Porge since I was a child. Much of it is now ash. We were warned this would come. We kept burning fossil fuels anyway. Adapting to this is not a plan. Stopping the cause is.

How have humans reshaped the world’s land over the last 12,000 years? Over thousands of years, humans have gradually transformed the Earth’s surface — clearing land for agriculture (crops and grazing animals) and building settlements.

Stacked area chart of total land area used for cropland, grazing land and built-up areas from year 0 to 2025, where grazing makes up most of the area and both grazing and cropland rise sharply in the modern era with total agricultural land approaching 5 billion hectares. Extreme heat and drought – fueled by climate change – are turning forests into infernos. In France alone, over 20,000 evacuated near Arcachon Bay; similar scenes in Spain with national emergencies declared. This isn't "just summer." It's our warning.

the whole "women's sports exist to protect women from men" framing is hilarious, given that a lot of these divisions were initially formed because men were deeply embarrassed any time a woman beat them at a sport olympic shooting was mixed gender right up until a woman won the gold
