NEW WORK: WALL-E Triptych ✏️ Inspired by the cinematography of Pixar’s #WALLE, I translated some film stills into real-life drawings that take one through WALL-E and EVE’s story in a more traditional yet still impactful way. (Except for the last film still. I made that one up.)

Recent work: Angucircumeter ⚒️ Another class assignment—this time for Form Study. I was tasked with making an abstract object from scratch using cardboard, papier-mâché, and only vague descriptors of an original source object (which was a combination square if you’re curious).

Angucircumeter. March 2026. Cardboard, papier-mâché, and acrylic paint. 6" × 4" × 7.5". A dark blue papier-mâché sculpture of an abstracted combination square, with elements such as a forty-five-degree angle between two faces, a semicircular bottom, beveled front and back faces, and two holes that pass through the front and back.

Recent work: It’s Better with Friends ✏️ First time posting a work of art in a while! This was my first assignment for my Drawing Projects class this semester, and I wanted to do something positive with the #CRJSWIMS cast in a multi-frame format. Had a lot of fun with this one! #ObjectShowCommunity

It’s Better with Friends. 2026. Charcoal and ink on paper. 9" × 12" (each composition). An installation comprised of six monochrome drawings—one in the center featuring the SWIMS main cast sitting around a bonfire on a beach at night, the others situated around featuring nighttime work environments for each of the characters—as well as additional drawn elements, including running poses of the characters (with accent colors) situated in between the central black-and-white drawing and the revolving ones and samples of handwriting and calligraphy on top of the black-and-white drawings. The handwriting on the revolving black-and-white drawings reads “Life can be…” along with the words “complicated,” “worrysome,” “uncertain,” “challenging,” and “risky,” respectively; and the handwriting on the central drawing reads “…But it’s better with friends.” Characters from left to right: Spencer, Warren, Iris, Myles, and Sam.

So, Art Fight was a thing in the big 2025, and I have some banger artworks to show! Hooray!!! 🧵 (Yes, I’m doing this a month after the event ended because August practically flew by for me. Hope you don’t mind!) — CRJ 💙

(5/17) And to round off the friend group, it’s Iris Kōsetsu, the snow-woman with the warmest of hearts! ☃️ (P.S. Her actual name is 降雪あいりす, but you can just call her Iris!)

Iris Kōsetsu (降雪あいりす) is a snow-woman with an extra-light purple body, dark gray buttons, a red carrot nose, a light yellow sun hat with purple accents, and legs. Her pronouns are she/her, and she is female and pansexual. She is 27 years old (born March 2, 1998) and 5′ 6¼″. Her description reads: “In spite of her icy composition, Iris is a kind and caring lady who thrives best in the warmth of friendship. Her benevolence is immediately apparent to anyone who gets interviewed by her, for she’s very fond of her hometown and loves to write all about it as an independent journalist.
