Mostly here to riff on Original Series Star Trek.
NERD UPDATE. I bought this Dickel Whiskey bottle a while ago and finally got around to painting the leather portions red so it looks like the Saurian Brandy bottle seen in Star Trek. I’m happy with the final product, but it is kind of a pain to pour from…
These are two very different bridges. The elevation of the Captain’s seat and the introduction of the color red make a big difference…
Stardate 2430.7 the captain keeps reporting I died in the line of duty
I’m feeling glum because my recent diagnosis of thoracic outlet syndrome means I have to take a break from playing oboe, one of my cherished hobbies. Anyway here’s a video of me honking away on that wacky instrument which I hope to get back to next year.
No one knows for sure, but I’ve always assumed Shatner had hair transplants done in the 70’s, possibly using hair from his body which is why he seemed to get curlier in the movies. I’ve always wondered what he would look like if he had the same hairstyle from the tv show…
Stardate 2419.3 mr. kyle asked me how could I be in starfleet for ten years without a single promotion and I told him he overlooked one fact: inferior ability breeds inferior ambition

Stardate 2317.9 thought I found a tribble on board but it was just chekov’s wig
I’ve seen The Cage and this scene a million times over the years but Susan Oliver is so mesmerizing I never really noticed the weird gryphon sculpture she’s clinging to until very recently.
I thought they were old at the time this picture was taken but now they seem young.
Eventually Lt. Riley sang “Kathleen” one more time too many…
Shatner had every reason to phone this speech in: the end of a long season with no promise of renewal, and a subpar script that had been kicked around for years, but he nails the performance with total commitment!
🎂Happy 250th Birthday America 🇺🇸 From the Greatest Canadian actor ever!
I brought Mr. Leslie over to Bluesky a few days ago if anyone’s interested :)
Stardate 2295.4 the captain told me self-expression seems to be one of my problems
I had such a pleasant time at the Star Trek Set Tour today. I got to meet Barbara Luna (Marlena Moreau from Mirror, Mirror). She was very nice, and at age 88 was sharp as a tack and quite sassy… 1/
OMG I can’t wait to get my Dr. Richard Daystrom action figure!!!
Looking forward to spending a couple days at Ticonderoga this weekend and visiting The Star Trek Set Tour! Hope to meet up with a couple other online Trek pals while I’m there.
“used to have to cut and sew people like garments!”
It’s the first one I’ve had without mine, but Happy Father’s Day
