I keep seeing people say things about them being short tempered or mean but then excusing it with something like "but mercury is in retrograde." No. This is not something that is making you be a dick, you are just being a dick.
Great thread on my favourite event! Been waiting for this one. The page turn reveal of Helena's plan is a punch the air superhero moment for the ages. And my boy Kyle got respect on his name. The superhero comic that set off the most fireworks in my brain.

And they do - no other event has such an excellent tie-in hit-rate
What a horrible thing to die and leave the world a better place by doing so. I'd feel dreadful for him had he not chosen such a legacy at every turn.

The latest My Adventures with Superman went incredibly hard. A really unexpected and different take on the Death of/world without/return of Superman. Though their take on Lex as a largely incompetent loser is pretty weird.

Back from a family holiday, which I am very aware I'm incredibly fortunate to be able to afford. But it strikes me that even this kind of relaxation is stressful unless you're properly monied.
Not quite 100 years, but ASDIC operator in the Australian navy in WWII. Though I am told one of my great-grandmothers was apparently the first woman in the world to sing in Gaelic on the radio. Could never be me. I can carry a tune within a specific range but can't speak the language.

Driving to work today and a guy has a bumper sticker that says "My Family" follows by little pictures of guns, going from a small pistol to a large AR-15 type thing. Not to put too fine a point on it but he definitely wants to stop the small boats should be on a watchlist.

I'd be interested in this Avengers film if it was Doctor Doom as the villain, but it's clear they're just using the name and visual and nothing else. DOOM does not descend to catching hammers, he would employ magics and science to avoid such a blow.
I work in Comms and was doing the COVID response stuff. Was asked to stop calling it COVID because the worst had negative connotations. I recommended we call it the sunshine happy virus instead. Stayed as COVID.

Early memories of being 6 years old and my brothers telling me Superman died. I got the junior novelisation from the library and read the adult novelisation too, till eventually we got the actual trades (getting single comics in the 90s in a bit of Scotland that Isn't Glasgow was hard).
