An outrigger canoe on a stand over glasslike water at sunset on an overcast evening. The canoe has a bamboo cover over it and bright Smurf blue on the part that extends off the boat. The canoe casts a shadow on the smooth surface of the water, which is a dusty pink directly below the boat. This is picture of Kirkjufell ("Church and falls" in Icelandic) that is a famous place in Iceland. Very near it is an open jail, which is not visible on the photo and very few people know about. An open jail has minimal physical security measures, no high walls or extensive fencing, and is for low-risk inmates, typically those nearing the end of their sentences and considered suitable for minimal supervision.
