Well. Trixie didn't hide when the boys came into her room. She did growl and eventually hiss at River a little bit when he got too close to her BUT SHE DIDN'T HIDE which is meaningful progress (she's 14lbs and they're like 3.5 each. she could bap them through a wall. she's just a big baby)

We are slowly, slowly acclimating the cats. Twice now, the boys have slipped past me into the office where Trixie hangs out. (3 exits, so it feels safe for her.) She didn't seem to react poorly to them UNTIL I showed up. Then the growling began Maybe I'm human-ing when they just need to cat?

Switched the babies' kitten chow from Iams to Purina One, and these guys are going ham on it! They never did that with the Iams formula. This is going to make feeding all three kitties so much easier. Which is great because again, they're bankrupting me (worth it)

Reading fiction is essential for the development of empathy. People who won't read any fiction are doing themselves and everyone else a disservice. Not everything is novel-length, audiobooks exist, and nobody is too dumb for a short story.
