I spent the 200th anniversary picnicking along the Charles in Boston, listening to the Boston Pops led by Arthur Fiedler.I was so proud to be an American I could have exploded. This year nothing. It was 50 yrs ago that I attended the 200 anniversary of of the U.S. by picnicking along the Charles river in Boston. We listened to the Boston Pops led by Arthur Fiedler. I was a proud American then (also a Republican at the time). I will not celebrate this year. Not much to be proud of now.
