Call your Reps, even if they're not there right now you can leave a message, trust me, they do see those. You don't have to be eloquent, you don't have to make a good argument, this isn't debate club, just say "Vote No on this bill," and that's all you need.

‼️ Bad Internet Bills, disguised as “kids safety” bills, are moving through Congress again ‼️ It's time to get those phones in Congress ringing off the hooks again w/ one simple message: we refuse any bill that age restricts, censors & surveils the Internet. : www.politico.com/live-updates...

Black Forest Labs (like Stability AI) likely took a bunch of work off the internet in order to train their AI. A bill in California would force transparency in their dataset. Want to help it pass? Please sign this petition in support, it'll take you 2 minutes: tinyurl.com/4uxbp963 1/

1/ This company’s models were trained on web scraped datasets (like LAION) and their founders are ex-Stability AI employees who engage in the same thieving practices that led artists like myself to sue Stability. GenAi companies NEED big names to sanitize their exploitation and crippling PR.

Screenshot of an X announcement by Black Forest Labs: Martin Scorsese is an advisor to Black Forest Labs. He's spent six decades shaping how the world sees stories. Now he's helping us shape visual intelligence with human taste and craft at the center. We sat down with him for a working storyboarding session using FLUX.

if you're feeling down about genAI please remember that it is a) intensely unpopular b) immensely unprofitable c) being propped up by people who NEED it to succeed, will spend any amount to create an illusion of a win but still keep failing and leaving the people they work with caked in shit

If I had a nickel for every time something I’m currently looking forward to this year got leaked. I’d have two nickels, which isn’t a lot but it’s depressing seeing it happen twice.
