The story I’m working on is coming along so organically I’m excited. I have been the pusher, as I like to call it, on characters, plots, etc….in building a world that eventually crumbles, yet, this one is not only telling but guiding me into a world that is already set up.

I don’t know what to say. I’m in the middle of an ice storm and this…this… THE BREATHING HOUSE made the preliminary Bram Stoker ballot! A recovering addict moves her family into a house where she faced supernatural occurrences, faces a sinister caretaker while listening to the breathing.

When I see this early in the morning, and let at night; I never thought my wildest dream would be sitting on the shelf in my room. I’m proud of what I have accomplished. This is just the beginning. 2026 is holding something special. I know it is. Maybe even a yes from a literary agent.

I loved being part of Bunker Squirrel Magazine. The prompts are fun and creating a story is so much fun. Thank you for having me in the family.

@superstacey318.bsky.social Stacey L. Pierson tells the story of a baker in a way only she could. Read what the town's people say as they mourn Milly and try not to disturb the people around you: One Bite You'll never forget it! tinyurl.com/StaceyOneBite

✨✨Story Acceptance✨✨ My 500-word short story, ONE BITE, will be in Volume 4 Issue 1, “Overheard at a Funeral,” by Bunker Squirrel Magazine @tcwestminster I’m so giddy about the reaction it’s already receiving. AndI quote from “I was reading it in public and drew stares.” Mission accomplished!
