For the first time in 6years I walked on soft, green grass today. I seriously considered taking off my shoes. There was deep shade cast by lovely trees, it was good for my soul. It's the little things that can surprise us and lighten our hearts.

Helping the homeless requires a variety of relief. People don't become homeless for just one or two reasons so it's not going to be fixed by one or two solutions. The fix for homelessness is to house the homeless.If we expect them to do it themselves then we shouldn't complain about how they do it.

When we build community to help those in need, it's important to actually do something helpful. Legal Aid should be real help. In some places it is getting one legal question answered for free after a week of waiting. That's not help. That's not even a band-aid. That's false advertising.
