Northern. Generalised wandering, nature, botany, birds. May also bang on about Castlefield Corridor without warning.

Dales doing some very dramatic weather for us today. Rain, rainbows, gales, sunshine. Definition of a proper hike is constantly moaning about having to take layers on and off. 😁

A dramatic sky over a rolling Yorkshire Dales landscape. Slightest suggestionof a rainbow in a cloudy sky.

Dug the daylight lamp out this morning. Bus stops were teeming with college going teenagers with freshly dyed blue hair as I drove back from pilates. Think I might need to find a warmer cardigan to sit through this morning's calls. 😁

Rain drops on a window pane. Grey skies and green trees beyond.

Well, that's the last day of August done then. Ran, sanded some doors, went to a sound bath with my friend who is back to school tomorrow (teaching not studying!). Facing September as Zen as I'm going to get. 😁

Sunset over a train line. There's a deep orangeglow and some looming black clouds

I came in from clubbing after a shift at the pub and went "what?", decided weird Dan was making things up again and only believed when my more reliable friend turned up in the morning with Red Bull and concrete news. The 90s are a foreign country, we did things differently there. 😁

I don’t have anything profound to say about the death of Diana. It did strike me at the time when people said that “and like the JFK assassination, you’ll always remember where you were when you heard” that for most of the British public, it would be “in the kitchen, making the first tea of the day”

So cross to discover I'd sent my Mum inaccurate information (Melissa Harrison's wiki page) I've just done my FIRST EVER Wikipedia edit (added The Given World to the bibliography). I feel quite proud of myself.

Fabulous sky up the hill tonight. Startled a sheep by demonstrating lizard pose on a small hillock. Young wheatears whizzing about looking for bugs. Headlights on for the drive home, though. On the cusp.

An orange sunset line topped by bright white and grey clouds. A stone moorland path leads off to the horizon.
