I'm disgusted by robotics videos which show the decline in human behavior towards the machine. I don't want the civilatory breakdown of crossing the boundary to kicking a robot as hard as I could. This isn't showing a feat of robotics - it shows that we are not mature enough for advanced robots.

My copy of the 2nd edition of "designing data intensive applications" by @martin.kleppmann.com arrived 🥳 It's even more detailed than the 1st edition and reads as good as ever. I learned a lot between now and then (phew :)), it reads now smoother and more familiar than the 1st edition books ftw :)

Moved a bunch of HumbleBundle computering books, the recent StoryBundle books and a random selection of converted tutorials and articles (mostly with Firefox readability mode) over to the Kobo - looking good so far! Let's load it up :)
The second edition of Designing Data-Intensive Applications, by myself and @chris.blue, is finished and sent off to the printers! Ebooks should be available in the next week, and print books in 3–4 weeks. Sigh of relief. 😅 (BTW, this is a good opportunity to support your favourite local bookshop!)
