I once got the question of "why did you disappear from the therian community and decide to come back?" I didn't disappear. I just stopped using Tumblr after they banned porn and moved to Reddit. I was still active in the community in other ways (Werelist, blog, kept in touch with friends) all along.

When I was 18 and thinking about what I wanted to study at university, I was very tempted to study language: linguistics, or to be a translator or interpreter. I love words and language, especially etymology. But I also love nature and science, so I picked biology.
People keep on telling me that as a therian, I should cooperate with furries and that therianthropy is common among furries. But whenever I try to organise something, or go to furry meetups, it tends to be awkward. And I realise they don't understand therianthropy at all. Maybe just a local issue?

Varit så upptagen under sommaren att jag betar ikapp inlägg allt eftersom. Jag och maken hjälptes åt att skapa en vargmask av EVA-skum i våras. Här är bilder från processen: Vi använde väldigt tunn EVA (2 mm) köpt från Slöjd-Detaljer. Min tanke var att masken framför allt skulle vara lätt att bära. Men ärligt talat, så skulle jag rekommendera att använda tjockare!

Igår höll jag presentationen "Therians, furries, otherkin - hjälp, vad betyder alla orden?!" på Pride House i Stockholm. Ungefär lika många åhörare som på måndagens. En del samma, en del olika. En intressant feedback jag fick var att måndagens presentation, där jag pratade mer om mina egna upplevelser och gav tips om hur man hanterar instinkter, skiften osv var mer intressant.

My mum was active in the kink community. After going to a kink party, she would handwash her outfit (leather, PVC etc) and put it up to dry. When I asked, it was just her "party clothes". OK. Only after some friends saw them drying, I realised not everyone's parents had party clothes like that!
Done with my first therian events for this year's Stockholm Pride. Continuing tomorrow.

Idag hade jag två programpunkter på Pride House: "Överlevnadstips från en ulv i människokläder" - En föreläsning där jag delade mig om tips kring sådant som spontana skiften, artdysfori och hur man kan tänka kring att berätta om sin teriantropi. Till denna punkt kom det ca 25 personer, majoriteten verkar ha varit nyfikna människor snarare än teriantroper och otherkin.

Very pleased with how these fused glass therian pieces turned out 🔥 If anyone is interested, they're $65 each plus shipping ($15). About 1/4" thick, 6" at their widest point, with an embedded metal hanging loop.
Stockholm Pride week begins today. The Youth section has asked me to host some therianthropy-themed activities. So today: one presentation about how I cope with species dysphoria etc + a group discussion for therians/otherkin. This will be a busy, but hopefully fun, week!
Seeing real people in the real world naked or almost naked (such as in swimwear at a spa or beach) reminds you how few people look "picture perfect". Celebrities and the TV/Instagram look is a tiny minority. Social media filters aren't reality.

Jag besökte min syster i Finland tidigare i veckan. Hon har nyligen flyttat, och jag hjälpte till med att skruva ihop möbler och sånt. Satte på lite nostalgisk musik för att göra det roligare. Hon började sjunga med i musiken, och jag rycktes också med. Tramsig musik med trall-vänliga refränger. "Hooked on a feeling" och "Come on Eileen". Jag insåg hur mycket jag saknat det.
