#Ceuta showed Europe's problem: 22 governments turned on Spain instead of showing solidarity. If they will not demand unity, let's do as citizens. 👉🏻 Volt is launching #WeAreThe1Million to mass-file European Citizen Initiatives. 👉🏻 Join the list: actionnetwork.org/forms/we-are...
Sven Franck (Volt) 🇪🇺
@svenfranck.bsky.social
Co-President of Volt Europa 🇪🇺 👉🏻 The first true European party 👉 https://svenfranck.eu/
Italy's election campaign has begun. After Ceuta, Meloni called to suspend Spain from Schengen - a power no member state has - and reinforced border controls 2,000 km away. Europe needs one EU immigration system, not 27 national ones. 🇪🇺 Only true European parties can deliver. Like @volteuropa.org
I’m looking for an Executive Assistant 🇪🇺 If you • have a proactive generalist mindset, • can organize and multitask, • have classical, digital and social media literacy, • have strong and responsive communication skills, 🔗 apply here volteuropa.org/executive-in...
The racists are coming to the heart of Europe
I spoke with Jonas Laursen about @volteuropa.org, the plans with my co-president Inês, our flavor of federalism, if we're a left party and more. Thanks for having me 👍 👉🏻 Segment with Paul Bekaert from EUMS: www.youtube.com/watch?v=zPDF... 👉🏻 Full interview: www.youtube.com/watch?v=1pW5...
Lifelong ineligibility for abuse of elected office. Perfect 👍 Marine Le Pen pitched this (www.brut.media/fr/articles/...), but still runs for president. Time for other presidential candidates to realize elections are about needs of the people, not trashing your opponent. Better realize quickly 🙄
Rob Jetten quoted Margaret Thatcher (or Destiny's child 🤷♂️) if he would vote for the new EU budget. "Nein. Non. No" was his answer Our op-ed why Europe saves tax-payer money with @reiniervanlanschot.volteuropa.org & @laurensdassen.voltnederland.org in the @trouw.nl 👉🏻 www.trouw.nl/opinie/opini...

My first trip as @volteuropa.org Co-President-elect takes me to Poland 🇵🇱 to "form" the Weimar Triangle alongside Clement Beaune, Konrad Szymański and Maciej Witucki and also provide the European perspective on how we can implement the changes the EU needs. See you next week in Warsaw!
I love it when a plan comes together 🙂 A heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported me and believed in me 🙏 Many members told me how inspiring my campaign was. Some even chose to watch the election results over World Cup because it was more exiting. We may be on to something...
That's the wrap up of my tour All of Volt is talking about it. That was the goal. 👉🏻 Because we need such stories 👉🏻 Because we need to make a colossal effort for 2029 👉🏻 And because we need to show that we care. For leaving no one behind. ✅ We have all the ingredients to change Europe. Time to vote
Final stop on my tour: Rome 🇮🇹 👉🏻 The key task will be to give our teams arguments to differentiate ourselves from national parties 👉🏻 Everyone knew the Italian EU Commissioner - impressive. 💡 I liked the political and critical questions 💜 Thank you for the opportunity. See you in Bratislava 😊
After Mailand it was a quick hop to Malta 🇲🇹 This was country 31/31 on my list and the official end of my tour 😊 👉🏻 Matthias gave me a briefer about politics in Malta 👉🏻 It's a country with accessible politics 💡 We need provide political support. 💜 Thank you for taking the time 😊
From Vilnius I made it to Milano to meet @voltitalia.it 🇮🇹 👉🏻 It was great to learn about Volt in Italy 👉🏻 We talked politics, from the need to unite political streams to the potential of European integration 💡 I learned about the difficulties in being in the media 💜 Thank you for the evening & pizza
From Tallinn I went to Vilnius 🇱🇹 👉🏻 We talked positioning and pushing the same topics across Europe 👉🏻 I learned about the beginnings of Volt Lithuania and the need of support 💡 I see many chapters are at the same level and little guidance on the next step. The goal. 💜 Thank you for taking the time
Družba mora biti zgrajena tako, da nihče ne ostane zadaj. Kaj želimo? ✔ družbo, ki pomaga ljudem pravočasno ✔ močnejšo socialno varnost ✔ več vključevanja in manj sistemskih ovir Ker demokratična družba ni uspešna, če ljudje nimajo osnovnega občutka varnosti in dostojanstva. #VoltSlovenija
From Helsinki I continued to Tallinn 🇪🇪 👉🏻 We have a small and active team in Tallinn but there is a lot of political apathy. 👉🏻 We also discussed communicating not only in Estonian but also in Russian 💡 I have to look more into the 10% of stateless citizens in Estonia 💜 Thank you for the getogether
After breakfast in Stockholm I went to Helsinki 🇫🇮 👉🏻 I learned about about the difficulties of restarting Volt Finland 👉🏻 I could give some examples from building Volt Slovenia 💡 It's interesting many chapters are at the same level 💜 Thank you to Elias and Niklas for having me!
From Oslo I continued to Stockholm 🇸🇪 👉🏻 We discussed the upcoming Swedish elections 👉🏻 As a small chapter with no elected officials, a visible Volt Europa would be very helpful 💡 I also understood the voice of Volt was missing in the Swedish political spectrum 💜 Thank you to everyone else who joined!
After lunch I continued to Oslo 🇳🇴 @voltnorge.org is one of our new chapters and I was curious to meet the team 👉🏻 We discussed how we launched Volt in Slovenia 👉🏻 I learned about the EU stance of other political parties 💡 Volt Norway could have a unique position. 💜 Thank you Geoffrey.
After Germany I went to Copenhagen 🇩🇰 👉🏻 We discussed how we took Slovenia to registering as a party 👉🏻 I learned more about the signature hurdles: 21k for Parliament and 75k for European Parliament 💡 A law made in 2024 prevented Volt Denmark from running with a German MEP 💜 Thanks to the team
From Kiel I went to Bremen 🇩🇪 to meet @voltbremen.org 👉🏻 We discussed our organisation and debate culture. 👉🏻 We spoke how our European level could help regional and local level 💡 I learned about regional elections and the good scores of Volt 💜 Of course I had to rub the donkey's legs for good luck 😌
Next stop on my tour was Kiel 🇩🇪 👉🏻 The team was working to reactivating members. 👉🏻 We discussed my programme and the emphasis on political visibility. 💡 I learned that Volt was supporting and financing the mayor of Neu-Münster running for re-election. 💜 Thanks for a constructive lunch stopover
From Leipzig I went north to Hamburg 🇩🇪 👉🏻 We discussed concrete projects instead of requiring members to attend calls. 👉🏻 This is important since the next local elections are four years away 💡 I learned that Volt Hamburg has far more active members than other teams 💜 Thank you for the organisation!
Next stop after Magdeburg was Leipzig 🇩🇪 I joined for a workshop for the mayor elections 👉🏻 We brainstormed around unity, urbanism and Europe 👉🏻 We argued for the need to have a European vision 💡 It found angles to match our European identity to a local campaign 💜 Thank you for the organisation
Next stop on my tour was Magdeburg 🇩🇪 👉🏻 I learned that already putting up posters can be dangerous 👉🏻 We talked about more visible political leadership 💡 Europe should stop dreaming of making the world better - the future of democracy will be decided here 💜 Thank you for the open discussion.
