I've been building a SaaS in my spare time. I won't get into details, but I need a logo. I don't have a big budget, but I do want to pay a human to design it. Any logo designers out there?

Reading the phrase "completely honest" makes me wonder: Can one be honest, but not completely? Does that imply you are lying, but only a little bit?

Reports suggesting that an AI autonomously broke out of its sandbox to hack companies sound scary until you read the fine print and realize there was no sandbox. How amateurish. What kind of test are that? The modern version of 'script kiddies' using automated tools long before AI was a thing?

Evidence of the great benefits of AI: it used to take a huge amount of time and effort to make yourself look this stupid; now AI allows you to humiliate yourself almost instantly.

The State Department said ​it takes "full responsibility" for "hastily" altering and then presenting a map of Africa at a global AIDS conference that mislabeled every single country it highlighted. An analysis by Reuters found a watermark in the map image that suggests it was made with OpenAI.

More efficient open-weight models are one the way (entry and high-end segments). Companies are becoming more cost-conscious. There is no vendor lock-in and even tech giants are pushing for openness out of fear of a duopoly. Honestly, I wouldn’t want to be in Anthropic or OpenAI's shoes. 🤷

Lol. With "marketing" emails like these, you can be absolutely absolutely certain reach devs who definitely won't unsubscribe, will definitely read the article, and will 100% buy your products. What? 🤷

I mean, why not split up UEFA and FIFA? They're welcome to do that. Then FIFA can go ahead with its sell-off to private investors. It won't happen, though, because FIFA will back down. (next World Cup, they'll probably introduce even more/ longer commercial breaks; probably unavoidable)

I don't think much of the SaaSpocalypse (what a word), as long as the provider offers something that's non-trivial. We'll see.

This! There is indeed an unhealthy dependency on American software providers, which is why we should opt for EU-based alternatives whenever possible! Win-win for everyone.

As the EU finds new successful American companies each year to threaten with fines for being too dominant, I always wonder if EU regulators ever ask themselves why European companies aren’t this successful?

Maybe it shouldn't be called "Artificial Intelligence," but an "Ingenious Pattern Recognition and Adaptation Machine."
