I've been building a SaaS in my spare time. I won't get into details, but I need a logo. I don't have a big budget, but I do want to pay a human to design it. Any logo designers out there?

Reading the phrase "completely honest" makes me wonder: Can one be honest, but not completely? Does that imply you are lying, but only a little bit?
Reports suggesting that an AI autonomously broke out of its sandbox to hack companies sound scary until you read the fine print and realize there was no sandbox. How amateurish. What kind of test are that? The modern version of 'script kiddies' using automated tools long before AI was a thing?
Evidence of the great benefits of AI: it used to take a huge amount of time and effort to make yourself look this stupid; now AI allows you to humiliate yourself almost instantly.
The State Department said it takes "full responsibility" for "hastily" altering and then presenting a map of Africa at a global AIDS conference that mislabeled every single country it highlighted. An analysis by Reuters found a watermark in the map image that suggests it was made with OpenAI.
More efficient open-weight models are one the way (entry and high-end segments). Companies are becoming more cost-conscious. There is no vendor lock-in and even tech giants are pushing for openness out of fear of a duopoly. Honestly, I wouldn’t want to be in Anthropic or OpenAI's shoes. 🤷
Wondering: If demand for RAM from AI companies turns out to be (much) lower than expected, will RAM become more affordable for consumers again?
Lol. With "marketing" emails like these, you can be absolutely absolutely certain reach devs who definitely won't unsubscribe, will definitely read the article, and will 100% buy your products. What? 🤷
I mean, why not split up UEFA and FIFA? They're welcome to do that. Then FIFA can go ahead with its sell-off to private investors. It won't happen, though, because FIFA will back down. (next World Cup, they'll probably introduce even more/ longer commercial breaks; probably unavoidable)
I don't think much of the SaaSpocalypse (what a word), as long as the provider offers something that's non-trivial. We'll see.
This! There is indeed an unhealthy dependency on American software providers, which is why we should opt for EU-based alternatives whenever possible! Win-win for everyone.
As the EU finds new successful American companies each year to threaten with fines for being too dominant, I always wonder if EU regulators ever ask themselves why European companies aren’t this successful?
Maybe it shouldn't be called "Artificial Intelligence," but an "Ingenious Pattern Recognition and Adaptation Machine."
with peer-human signed code, trust comes from shared experience; sometimes I can skip review. With agents, every line and decision feels suspicious. After enough hard lessons, I can’t grant trust the tech can’t earn. The mythical-capabilities debate is over.
I forgot temporary attributes exist and was trying to clear temporary attributes using setAttributes. Time to call it a day.
I don't see how a 'closed AI ecosystem' is possible. One country can't ban open-weight AI systems worldwide, can it?
SK Hynix's stock price fell nearly 10% in Seoul even though the company reported a high quarterly profit. Is this related to the warning from Fitch Ratings?
Even if I restrict opening the same folder twice later, it's a good way to test the sync, like syncing changes, undo manager binding to different NSTextViews, updating word-wrap in one doc updating all views, etc.
For some reason, opinions on this seem to change every now and then. 🤷
A number like 1.2 trillion dollars doesn't even seem like a real amount of money to me anymore; it feels more like a theoretical concept. I just can't relate to it, can't even wrap my head around it. www.cnbc.com/2026/07/27/s...
SpaceX has now lost the equivalent of a full Tesla in market capitalization
Elon Musk's space company has wiped off more than $1.2 trillion in market cap since hitting a high of $225.64 per share in June.

Random weird morning thought: Samurai spent decades mastering a craft that became irrelevant the moment mass armies entered the chat.
LG installs an app via Windows Update that triggers intrusive ad pop-ups. What? Do they seriously have data suggesting users are okay with this? (By the way, this only seems to be in the US, not the EU). Don't use Windows, but my next monitor definitely won't be an LG.
Couldn't resist. Undo for drafts is now persisted across app restarts. Nice side effect: proves undo/redo doesn't rely on concrete object instances.
Since undo is now decoupled from concrete object instances, I could persist it to the filesystem to allow undos across app restarts. I could... but should I?
Realizing that hardware vendors, DC ops, and investors are terrified of a duopoly. Pricing power is one thing, but the risk of their whole business relying on the solvency of literally two customers is another. (still, these two receive almost all of the funding 🤷 )
Skipping a solid arch and failing to extend step-by-step (boring I know) just leads to constant churn, you and everyone downstream are stuck relearning things (or ignoring it). Regressions aside, it makes any 'quick start' totally meaningless.
The desire to privatize profits and socialize losses is probably not a new phenomenon.
Following instructions requires the ability to assess the situation after every step. Without that capability, the very concept of following instructions becomes impossible, no?
Morning task: (at|de)tachable (un|re)do. Same view, different docs.
And I thought one could disable this automatic submenu entry with setting isAutomaticTextReplacementEnabled to false. Hmm.
After not working on it for two weeks, I'm back now and thinking about what I'd like to display under “Reveal in Sidebar” for unsaved drafts. Maybe a “Drafts” section?. Hmm.
While paddling on the Vils, we saw lots of blue-winged damselflies (Blauflügel-Prachtlibellen), which is really great because, until about ten years ago, they were still considered endangered, and thanks to improved environmental conditions, their populations have recovered.
