Matty Cash is the out-ball for #AVFC in the build-up, though Watkins' movement, despite the knock, looks so sharp. He's running off Van Dijk and Konate and in Pau, Villa have a defender who can service his runs.
This team has a mentality problem... Huge changes needed in the Summer. And SJM going nowhere. He's the mentality to build around. I'd also say Martinez, but he might be off. Everyone else needs to look at themselves. Tough end to the season now. Which was completely avoidable.

Summary. The penalty was weak, but it is what it is. Forest pressed much better than we did. Which is why we haven't scored. Tough to get through now. We'll have to be much better than we have been for a while, to get through.
Whilst it was obvious that getting dropped by England caused Watkins to start trying again... Hearing him actually say it has made me quite angry 😠. I hope Unai heeds that, and the next time Ollie downs tools, he just drops him. What a stupid interview.
Really poor performance. Lethargic, sloppy, aimless. Had the feel of a hot weather summer training camp. Meh.
