Did a 7 km after-work hike today. After having spent six weeks in Sweden, hiking in the Northeastern United States feels like hiking in the tropics. I almost stepped on a tiny turtle. 🌴🐢
I hate being negative about Star Trek, but Strange New Worlds S4E02 "The Griffin Incident" is some of the worst Trek I've ever seen. If I wanted horror and gore, I'd watch a horror movie. And I would want a better explanation than "terror also exist in space." I'll be skipping this in rewatches.
Pictures from my first hike in the U.S. after coming back from Sweden. Deliberately took it easy as I'm getting acclimated to breathing 70% water again. Maybe in my next life I will come back as a newt. 🦎
I missed Stockholm Pride by one day this year, so I've been looking at photos in social media. This message really resonated: "If people are born into this shitty world anyway, can't at least everyone be allowed to love whomever the hell they want while they're here?" 🌈💙💛 📷 Joakim Hall
Are you even flying Scandinavian Airlines System if your airplane is not named "Thor Viking"? ✈️
Sometimes you walk in Stockholm and randomly come across the Audi Formula 1 car. 🏎️
Good morning from an absolutely perfect day in Stockholm. ☀️
Yesterday was a 25k step day. Walkability is maybe my favorite part about life in a European city vs. American suburbs. 🚶♂️
5 km update: Time for a snack. Have I mentioned that I love Stockholm? 🌲💛💙
Good morning from 2 km into today's hike. The trailhead is 30 minutes by bus from the Stockholm subway. It's 19° C and partly cloudy. 🌤️🥾
Had dinner at one of my favorite restaurants in Stockholm, followed by an evening visit to IKEA – an ancient Swedish tradition.
Today is the 15th anniversary of the right-wing terrorist attack in Norway, which killed 77, mostly youth attending a summer camp run by the social democratic Workers' Youth League. This song was performed by Swedish artist Laleh at the memorial ceremony: www.youtube.com/watch?v=VHX2... ❤️🤍💙

Today I got to see something I've wanted to see for a long time: Anders Celsius' own thermometer. His invention was creating a centigrade temperature scale between the freezing and boiling point of water. However, he used 100 for the former and 0 for the latter. Only later was it reversed. 🌡️
That was the wildest soccer game I've ever watched. Thank you France, thank you England. ⚽💙🤍❤️
Today is a relax, do grocery shopping, and play games kind of day. Tonight: The FIFA World Cup bronze match between England and France.
Happy hour at the hamburger joint in the Stockholm residential area where our summer apartment is located. I just love sitting outdoors on their patio on a beautiful summer day, enjoying a good pub meal, and then walking ten minutes back to the apartment.
Celebrating a beautiful Stockholm evening with drinks in our neighborhood park. ☀️🌳🍻⛲
Pictures from various walks around the neighborhood where our summer apartment in Stockholm is located. I love how the buildings capture the light from the setting sun. The last picture is from an evening walk at 9:45 p.m.
