OK… I will have you guys know that I turned off the TV before I left for work today (14 hours ago). I arrive home only to find comfy lofi playing. So either I’m being haunted by the chillest ghost ever, or my cats have learned to operate the TV. I’m kinda OK with it either way.

My nephew gave me the greatest gift a Gen Alpha can give… a NeeDoh!! As much as I make fun of the kids for their obsession with the brand, they are quite sturdy and can withstand my stress better than other “squishies”.

Second Hint: Currently in a quandary about how to fix my hair for my costume. Either in two low pigtails to accentuate her ears (I already have ears as part of the costume) or go with the “anime mom” hairstyle as the character’s main defining characteristic is being a mother (but does NOT die).

This year, my family is doing themed costumes! Bobby’s only really makes sense in context so I’ll use him as my hint and see how many people guess between now and Halloween!

Me: *walks into the animal shelter for my shift* Vet Tech: Where’s my pictures of you torturing your cats with Halloween costumes? Me [said pictures literally in my hand]: How did you- Her: I’ve known you for 4 years, honey. I know what to expect at this point.

I know today’s the last day of Hispanic Heritage Month but I wanted to share my display for work! I encouraged my Latino coworkers to put a pin on the map (this pic is from when I first put it up). Admittedly, being in Washington, there weren’t a lot. But at least I was able to find some history!

***Trigger Warning for the Arachnophobic*** This year I feeling like “building” my decorations. So starting small. I usually have a decoration for my porch light but nature has provided a better decoration than I can provide… I have named her Pumpkin and she’s paying her rent with vibes!

When we went to the pumpkin patch, my sister and I beelined for the candle section of the farm store (because we are basic white women, don’t judge!) and found this scent called Midnight Pumpkin which is my NEW favorite scent of the season and is far less obnoxiously strong than its B&B counterpart.

Me [telling the story of the places I lived in my adult life]: …. And then I moved from Arizona to Washington- Niece: Why do you move so much?! Me: Well I moved here to help you guys out. Niece: With what? Me [standing at the school bus stop so my sister could go the work]: …Gee, I wonder…
