With it being broadcast on TNT behind a pay wall, the Commonwealth Games may as well not be happening. Its a real shame for the athletes, it was always really popular on BBC2 and Channel 4.
Picked this up for £4 still shrink wrapped last week, liked the cover. Really enjoying it, its exactly what the cover promises it to be, nice summery folk rock. Nice to get a bargain now and again.

I know its like Jack Whites Disney gift shop, but went to Third Man Records in London yesterday and rather enjoyed it. The basementwas pretty cool. Bought a couple of reissues because thats what you do. Back to work tomorrow, and an inevitable visit to @noiseannoys78.bsky.social before the weekend
Spending a train journey with this in my headphones is bliss. The landscape and this beautifully distopian music just work. *I guess I am duty bound to apologise for using Spotify but I do own the vinyl version, it just wasnt practical on the Avanti.

Working alongside a "slow-core" classic today, Codeine - The White Birch LP. Never since has the quiet-loud-quiet thing been so elegantly done.
My afternoon is this and tea. In my comfy seat. Its a real triumph.
Apparently the government will give you a paltry £3000 to take an apprentice on. Then you pay minimum wage plus travel expenses for learning. 4 days on site, 1 day at college. £425 per week plus exes for the 1st year. This is why sites are staffed by older tradesmen, when they can get them.
