What is left of the BBC reputation is likely now been trashed. It is about time that a serious effort be made to sort them out. The programme side needs to be kept apart from the editorial decisions of the news element.

Eight minutes with Anna Foster and Danny Kruger on proposals to change the welfare system which can't be discussed properly because the details aren't available. Same as most party announcements. #R4Today

How many voters wanted Farage to win, even though they do not support him? They could have voted for him knowing it was going to kickstart the investigation into his finances. They wanted to make sure he won. Without knowing who voted, we will never understand.

Here's Sir John Curtice explaining on Radio 4 why the result in Clacton spells bad news for an increasingly unpopular Nigel Farage. #FarageOut

The letter he sent to residents in #Clacton is awful. He swings from talking about himself (victim) and then rants about his party/company Reform. If this is supposed to be his one shot to convince voters, the text construction is all over the place. Don't hedge fund managers write?

He needed to save his “anti-establishment” shtick for the follow-on by-election that will happen when the investigation into his finances finds him guilty. Now he just looks like a weapons-grade idiot for using up all his howling victimhood material on his fight with a bin.
