Stalled out on my WIPs so dug through old things I've not posted and cleaned up one and posted it even though it's not particularly great and probably too similar to some others but it made me feel like I did something I guess. And I called it complete rather than starting another WIP.

please give yourself the gift this spooky season of the “Dracula” audiobook where Tim Curry is Van Helsing and Alan Cumming is Renfield, it’s everything you could ever want from “Dracula” and it’s a sleeper hit on my Personal Tim Curry Faves roster

Tim Curry and Dolly Parton have taught us not only that you should be bigger, weirder, gayer, and freakier, but also that those qualities are what people will love about you. The things that make you strange and amazing are the things that will resonate with other strange and amazing people

Having a bad day full of sadness & angst which was extra frustrating because of writer's block too. Hadn't realized how often I had been escaping into writing fic (well, I had some clue but not this specifically). Additional problem was when I tried to read my stuff, I found it all horrific.

Posted 1st chapter of a new Slow Horses fic rather than finishing the Slow Horses WIP I should be finishing. D'oh. (I thought I'd wait to post this until I finished it but after staring at chapter 1 for a week I wanted to put it out there.) (Might motivate me to finish it or . . . the others.)

Totally forgot Escapade Online was this weekend. Oops. I really need to put online cons on a calendar or something with reminders. (Or pay better attention to social media but I haven't been on nearly so much the last couple of weeks.)

Still wild I'm posting fanworks, I thought my AO3 would stay with 0 works posted and just some bookmarks for the rest of my life. Then I thought "okay, maybe I'll post some vid shows and meta, that'd be neat." Up to 30 works now, WTF. Never dreamed I'd try writing fic (& actually post it).

Might have been foolish committing to reposting my very first fic but with some revisions because oof, I've reached a chapter that is in first person (all of it so far was not) and making it match the rest of the story is a chore. Doing it for those who like this story & deserve to see it finished.

Still kind of blowing my mind that my fic is getting people to check out the sources/fandoms I write for (it they like it for one of the two I mostly write for, they check out the other). (Still blows my mind anyone reads and likes any of it.)

Never thought of myself as someone who would try to recruit anyone to fandoms or ships, but I got a comment on a fic that starts with "I can’t believe I’d never thought of this ship. They’re perfect for each other." and that is very satisfying as it turns out. (I know I've won a few people over.)

I may use a zillion emdashes, but that's all me. (Can't even imagine using "A.I." but I'm extremely anti-A.I. and also obviously not writing for attention though I now know it is really cool to get good feedback on stuff you write obviously.)

Posting the start of new fic, rewriting &/or finishing and/or just posting old fic. It's probably too much and not very good but whatever. If I'm having fun, why not. Though I really should probably be working on vid show stuff. (Of course the chapter that I'm most insecure about has no comments.)

There’s a lot going around today about the use of AI in fic, and I just want to say a quick word to anyone who’s ever used it in your work; You -can- stop using AI. AI feels addicting to use; it’s -so- easy to generate a bit of prose, to fix things up here and there.

Actually posted to Dreamwidth (the swizzlespoon one, I mean, though I haven't been updating my other one much it's been more than this one). I really shouldn't go so long between updates because I tend to post long rambling things that are all over the map— oh wait I'm just like that. (sigh.)
