Only 8 years old in the digital world. I notice things about products, people, technology, and work. Sometimes I write them down. Follow to stay updated Visit → syedladen.com Say hi → hello@syedladen.com

We spent years teaching computers to understand us. Now we’re teaching them to act for us. I’m not sure we’re ready for how much responsibility we’re about to give software.

There’s a point where adding features stops making a product better. It just makes the product harder to explain. I think a lot of products cross that point without realizing it.

I think we’re going to see a lot more people become “experts” in things they barely understand. Because the tools have become good enough to hide the gap. Would you call it dishonesty? Or something else?

The longer I work in marketing, the less I believe in “marketing tricks.” Good positioning can beat a clever campaign. Because if people don’t understand what you’re selling, getting more people to see it doesn’t help much. Done both eventually.

I am looking for a full-time job. Being independent in open source for 3.5+ years has been wonderful. I've gotten done most of the high-level goals I wanted to, and miss having people & structure around me. If you know of a role for a staff-level TypeScript+web developer, let me know! 🙂

The most duplicable app of 2030? It’s probably being built today. For those wondering what I mean by ‘fast fashion’ in digital world, it’s basically the same idea as clothing!!! Cheap to produce, quick to copy, and often disposable. The vibe coding type tools are the beginning of the end!

I honestly don’t get it when I see people post that they’re going to be replaced by AI or whatever buzzword is trending right now. Just to make myself clear, I didn’t spend years working my ass off, building skills, and making sacrifices just to hand over my seat to a tool. People these days!!!

This morning I found an old draft about trust. It was too careful. Too neat. So I deleted it. Sometimes I think the mess is the whole point.

I teach people how to build things in public. I also hide half my best ideas out of fear they’ll be stolen before they’re strong enough to defend themselves. How’s that for honest?

Why UX matters more than anything else. Because design doesn’t convert, speed alone doesn’t convert. Even discounts don’t convert without a smooth journey. Decisions convert. And great UX makes decisions easier. (1/3)

What surprises me more is that some people with the 'Open to Work' badge are giving out career advice like LinkedIn thought leaders. 🤷‍♂️

I just got a thing in my head because it happened! A client will become a friend quicker than a friend will become a client. Strange but reality 🤷🏻‍♂️

The more i see marketing gurus, the more i feel intimidated! The numbers, the claims, the CONFIDENCE i see in them makes me uncomfortable sometimes and make me feel like I’m nothing… I get it people got surface level knowledge & AI in hand…! But they all doing the same thing!! Too much noise!!!

The new era of search and discovery! • #SEO: Will you rank in the top spots? • #AIO: Will AI understand your value? • #GEO: Will AI recommend you? • #AEO: Will you be Google's highlighted answer? • #SXO: Will users engage and take action? Forcing me to rethink my digital presence! 🤷
