It's implied that the viewer is seeing through Rocket's perspective as he is trying to get a read of Sword's expression, something he doesn't seem to quite grasp, as bubbles of anger, spite, sadness, and all kinds of conflicting emotions bubble around Sword, with none of them matching his true face.
