Today has been incredibly busy. So was yesterday, and the day before that. Tomorrow will be the same. It's just a struggle, and I got an e-mail today that reads as really critical of some volunteer work I'm doing from someone who has never signed up to help. Not fond of people today.

My new desk chair for the craft room has shipped! (The current one is going to move in to the office for use at my office desk, where it can be twinsies with his office chair because we have the exact same model there.)

It turns out our windows are getting cleaned today. This is fine, just ...rearranges the timing for the day a bit. I also met with the guy who is going to design and build the Murphy bed for the guest room.

Today got derailed by a giant hornet's nest in the front yard and now I am waiting for the glass folks to do some work before I go do my run. So I am puttering around working on organization in the craft room and not drilling holes in the upstairs like I should be doing.

I have backed and have some of her pins already - and have gifted some of the previous pendants and they are AMAZING. Highly recommend checking them out!

The big monitor is now on a monitor arm. I need to improve my cable management and probably rearrange some crap but the desk as a whole is at least better. I might do the office monitors tonight because sure, that's reasonable.

I need to look and see if I have a longer HDMI cable because apparently my old one was shit but the new monitors are great and I sent like 6 emails so I think that calls it for the night. Tomorrow will be an early morning, unfortunately.

The two new monitors have been tested and now installed on my desk. I might still want to swap cables - we'll see if the random drops can stop - but now the other decision is do I want the nice newer arms for my other monitors in the office because the new ones are niiiiiiiiiiice.

I have gone through a bunch of the papers that have been on the floor of my craft room for a bit. Still waiting on the monitor arms but that will arrive at some point and then I can get that stuff swapped around.

My new monitors have arrived, so once the arms get here then I can rearrange monitors (old ones are going to the writing desk in the office and the new ones will be on my main desk in the craft room).

We're back home from the weekend out of town and I do not go anywhere again for almost 3 whole weeks? Seems fake.

It turns out I have been relying on the auto-generated captions from Youtube on hover more than I thought because now they are all showing up in Arabic for some reason and I am pretty unhappy about this.

I finally got the house unpacked to the point where we can schedule the professional photography for the contractor but it's not quite all put away yet. The next two weeks are going to be busy.

Fuck me, I guess I need to go buy some gin when I am in Vancouver next week before the ban goes into place. This timeline continues to suck so much.

Back home after two weeks. There were some excellent things! I am also so tired.

I dealt with the pile of fabric that has been on the floor for a few weeks - it's not done, but at least it's temporarily put away. I need to do a little more to clean stuff off but I should go through Christmas ornaments.

I haven't been keeping my planner up to date (not a great sign) so I am swapping to a different style to see if that will help me jumpstart being on top of things again.

Amy's work is absolutely amazing! I cannot wait until I get my next piece (I already have a plan for the commission) but in the meantime you should absolutely get one.

I have stained the shelves for my craft room so I just need to get them coated with some polyurethane tomorrow and those are all set. Next up (after shower and starting laundry) is stringing more beads for bead crochet.

Good news is that the MRI showed that Rob has not respawned, which has been a nontrivial contributor to my anxiety over the last few months. It may mean I have developed a new fun and exciting migraine pattern though.

Last night I had to frog about 150 stitches because it turns out I cannot count the difference between 1 and 2. I have two graduate degrees in science-fields.

I need to go through the Christmas bins and then I can put them back under the stairs and get all of the downstairs hallway cleared out. The biggest disaster room at this point is my craft room (and slightly the office) but that's okay.

I had a nasty migraine on Saturday night and we have guests arriving on Thursday so I am frantically running around trying to finish getting the house that much closer to finished before they get here. I did get the countertops cleaned and resealed though.

I still need to do some veneer edges and possibly paint the interior underside white (I haven't decided) but I finished the tabletop and sides of my craft table.

One more coat of paint on the craft table and then I can pull the tape and admire it. I was thinking I was going to try to do the kitchen counters tomorrow but there's still a lot of stuff on them that I would have to move.

Did everything to pay for parking except push the confirm button so I ended up with a parking ticket. I am ...pretty mad at myself.

I got my next MRI scheduled. Two more weeks before that's done.
