Organized religions act out deeper religious (narrative) beliefs. A moral culture would see their Catholic and Protestant churches express moral values. A culture that worships money and sadism, and whose leaders openly dominate the weak, will see its various religions express those beliefs (1/9)
derek guy@dieworkwear.bsky.social · 4mo agoI suspect the Pope sounds "woke" to many Christian conservatives because the US is steeped in prosperity theology, where the point of worship is to deliver health and wealth to believers. Thus, "feed the hungry" and "show mercy for the poor" sounds needlessly political and "woke."

Only a society richly steeped in Epstein philosophy could ever think that a 38 year old can consensually date a 21 year old, that a boss could ever consensually date an employee, or that a mentor could ever consensually date an apprentice.
I keep seeing this idea, and it's ahistoric. For a century, an ongoing national project stifles "leftists". This includes operations destroying leftist organizations, removing teachers, and assassinations of leaders. The "left" remains nascent, because when it ever emerges it gets mowed down
You might feel like "this is not the place I remember, or the values I believed it represents" because you were kept ignorant and lied to. It's not your fault.

The network is shrinking, not growing. It's shrinking a lot: only about 1.1m people a day even like a post. This time last year it was 1.6m.
what next? what, are we gonna provide *roads* for the wealthy too? gonna have health inspectors keep contaminants out of their groceries? are we just gonna have gutters and sewer systems around rich people's homes?

If you think this woman is an aberration, think again. Across the nation, USians watch as undocumented (rightless) ethnic minorities, including children, do all of the backbreaking work. Most USians live in an apartheid state and don't bat an eye. Extremely corroded collective morality

We've now entered the "font era" of identity politics. All this while most PA kids must pay for lunch in public schools. Ask yourself this: What sort of organized society doesn't feed its children, but cares about penmanship? Open, nasty, childish cruelty always on full display. A sick joke

To prepare for the incoming TSA "replacements", airports need to go ahead and put down gym mats. They will be SLAMMING abuelas and children down, no questions asked. I am not joking.
