So, I hear there are some hydrology problems in Washington DC. Rumor has it the brilliant leader on mission to "drain the swamp" has somehow managed to *create* a swamp instead. The goal was figurative, the failure literal. He has pegged the needle on the incompetence meter.

As I type this, I'm playing D&D with friends. I'm not saying my luck has been poor, but a litle while ago one of my friends rolled her attack. My comment was, "Wait -- Are you saying a d20 has two-digit numbers, too?!" Draw your own conclusions.

I have a question for someone well educated in design theory. When I look at Trump's taste in decor, I see a tawdry attempt at grandeur, pathetically missing any true elegance. Some people see the same decor projecting power, prestige, and wealth. What accounts for such strong preferences?

I wrote both of my U.S. Senators and my U.S. Representative demanding Congress act to stop Trump's war crimes and threatened genocide before it's too late. My Representative is already on our side, so the wording there was supportive rather than confrontational. Protest. Speak. Vote. #NotInOurName

Watching live the POTUS radio call with the Artemis II crew. Trump babbles on and on, barely giving anyone else a chance to speak, then just lets the conversation dangle for so long that three of the four astronauts were *literally* twiddling their thumbs waiting. What a buffoon.

I love this man. Who cares what the Orange Failure thinks about this. When Volodymyr speaks of ammunition and weapons he's speaking about LITERAL physical defense of the people and the country he loves. And he'll never fail them. He's the Leader of the Free World. Give him the damn prize already.

According to #StephenColbert, the Trump administration is trying to scrub this photo because it is "unflattering" to the Press Secretary. I'm posting this public service announcement to help spread the word that this photo should be deleted immediately. "Refs unpersons doubleplusungood."

Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt towers over an out-of-focus live turkey during the 2025 annual pardoning at the White House. The camera uses a wide angle lens from an extremely low angle in a style normally reserved for horror films. The turkey being foreground and out of focus makes that nauseating red stuff around its throat look even more repulsive than usual, suggesting an uncanny resemblence to Trump's innermost soul as if depicted in a Fox News documentary.

I love the analogy: "The stone age didn't end because we ran out of stones." We can -- must! -- move to renewable energy with or without favorable government policy. Vote with your wallet, and the corporations will follow the money, not the party line.

Fancy that. A gas station. Where no car is tanking gas - but the EV chargring units are fully occupied. The stone age didn’t end because we ran out of stones – and the fossil‑fuel age won’t end because we run out of oil. It will end because better, more reliable technologies take over.
