This is Gutz from @twingoddessminis.bsky.social minis in 75mm, which is a big dang chunk of resin. Finally got my camera to figure mostly correctly on a big model like this, so you can see my stippling. Hooray! #miniaturepainting #goblins

So I tried to paint as little as possible on this model. He's fluoro orange on the "bright" side, and sea blue on the shadow side. The goal was to blend and cover as minimally as I could, hence the stippling and hatching in the goblin, and the flat colors on the warg.

I think the undercoat would have been a better idea on a smoother model. Mostly I ended up leaving little flecks of orange in the crevasses of the fur texture.

This side best shows off the blue and orange layers. It's pretty neat.

Just a little show-off angle for the metals.

Equipe Mirage-5 from Infinity. Another miniature, another fight with my camera. At least you can see some of my stippling this time. #miniaturepainting #infinitythegame

Margot and Duroc, presumably out for a stroll.

I really like how the sheath on Duroc's knife and Margot's shoulder pad turned out. I'd like it more if you could really see the cool textural blend, but oh well.

Tried something new and it didn't work, and it sure didn't photograph well. But at least i tried it? #miniaturepainting #infinitythegame

The old Ariadna spec ops model, but not the *old* model.

The second-worst tattoo I've ever drawn.

So she was two colors divided around the middle before I painted, a red-orange and a blue-green. I tried to leave some traces in the shadows and highlights, but mostly it just looks like some inelegant cel shading on her arms and a weird glow on her vest. But I got her painted in a couple hours, so it was worth the attempt.

An Anaconda and pilot, from Infinity. These are the old sculpts, so they're relatively close to 28mm scale and they're solid pewter. The camouflage scheme and detailing are hopefully familiar. #miniaturepainting #infinitythegame

It's not Infinity if even the mecha don't have large, rounded butts.

On one hand, I like my freehand work on this model - the camo pattern, the text, and the little glyphs are all freehand. On the other, I was seriously pressed for time and it feels really flat and incomplete, even with a nadial shade. C'est la vie.

Of course it's off-center in the photograph. Uggghhhhh.

Some miscellaneous things this week. Armor guy was testing a black metal scheme, while the Infinity model is one of a pair that I really, really hope I'm done painting next week. #miniaturepainting

Another Apache proxy for Infinity. Turns out throwing two grenades an activation is good. I gotta stop trying to paint yellow eyes at 32mm, though. #miniaturepainting #infinitythegame

Checking my receipts, this is apparently one of the trench maids from the unfortunately-named JigglyStix.

Painting wood grain is really fun, and on a mini this small it's literally just two colors.

That ribbon is a bear to paint. I like how her hair turned out, though.

And a pair shot with her big sister. You can actually kinda see Rosie's face this time!

Lyhrra from @twingoddessminis.bsky.social in 32mm. I saw her hair and knew I had to get this sculpt. #miniaturepainting

Unfortunately the light green I used for her eyes didn't pop enough against her sclera. I might try a fluoro green next time.

Painting her hair ruled; the orange paint I used for the final highlight is crazy saturated and looks like it glows IRL.

Technically kinda sorta Rosie from Valkyria Chronicles. I'm using her as a werewolf proxy for Infinity, so she's got yellow slitted eyes. Which I very intelligently didn't aim my camera to capture while I was overexposing the hell out of this thing. #miniaturepainting #valkyriachronicles

You can sorta see that yellow eye in there. Too bad I blew out the camo pattern!

Side view of Rosie. I believe this is an Ethan Savage sculpt. She's not 100% game accurate, but that also means she's not rocking that goofy combat midriff thing.

Would you believe this looks really good in person? And that the pouches aren't totally flat and you can see the light grey in the camo pattern? Ugh.

Qu'est-ce que c'est un "Cateran?" #miniaturepainting #infinitythegame

A Cateran I'm using as a Zouave. Completely blown out all her skin tones with my bad lamps or whatever happened to my white balance after my camera blew up. Ugghhhhh

In retrospect, I should have turned her little beret emblem into a republican cockade.

Aaand seven of her Metro friends to provide orders.

I'm in an Infinity escalation league. I'm not playing this faction, but I painted this model anyway. But then, if I had a history of making good decisions, I wouldn't play miniature wargames. #infinitythegame #miniaturepainting

The N5 regular version of Shinobu from Infinity.

The matte varnish killed her hair, but I still think that sword blade looks great.

Would you believe this was the best angle I could get on her face? It's a neat pose, but there's a reason you don't see it in a lot of sculpts.

Painting is happening, but it's slow this past week. Here's another one from the archive, Ivya Volga from about 2024. #ageofsigmar #soulblight #miniaturepainting

You don't see many fantasy characters with hatchets these days, which is a shame.
