A gnome that wanders the upper Midwest. I love my Wife, Hekate, used book stores, coffee shops, the woods, and rivers, especially rivers. I write Haiku, make art, read esoteric books, and ponder. I strive to ever be a Student. But mainly just a weird dude

In my youth I found workable magic in religion. In my NOT youth I find workable religion in my magic.
I don't know how people post new stuff about magic so often. My hat off to them. I have to find a stream of Gnosis swim through it for a bit and then maybe have something to share. It's part of why I post so sporadically.
#WitchSky I know we post magic and occult but ya all, we need to get involved in our local politics. If you have the spell slots go help your chosen candidate. Spells work better when they have an avenue and sometimes we need to be that avenue

#WitchSky Cite your sources in your own notes. I just spent 4 hours combing my books and came up with nothing. Usually I can find the source pretty easily but not tonight. Not a total loss as I found some interesting things to revisit
#WitchSky Saw the Odyssey and I didn't like how they portrayed Circe. I am a big fan of Emily's translation of Homer and over all they did a good job. They even had the Necromancy.

My eldest had been wanting a raccoon skull for a while. Today the river provided. Just a little clean up.

#WitchSky If you're wondering about spirit contact from Deities to land spirits and how it can work. I highly recommend reading the Odyssey and the Voyage of the Argos. Both are filled with non vision spirit contact.

#WitchSky I have read these now and there is a lot of good magic theories and examples if you know how to look. To include how to marshal forces, how to make spirit contact, how to decipher prophecy, how to lay down a curse as well as counter it. Advice on offerings. I highly recommend these.
