I can understand to a small extent letting go of some staff after a major project finishes and there isn't a need for a huge head count for awhile, but the routine "I've been working at X studios for XX years and was let go after the very profitable release" is getting so exhausting.

I went from being invited to a wedding, to being asked to walk the bride's mother down the aisle, to now being asked to be the best man a week out. I said yes, perhaps against my better judgement. I've 'known' them for awhile, but I don't really like actually know them. This seems strange.

Next time Beyond Earth Rising Tide is on sale will definitely have to get it. Insane all these years later it's base price is still $30. I do wonder if they'll ever give the planetary theme another stab. BE is certainly a lot better than I recall, perhaps with all the patches since release.
Man I wish I had a social life, I don't need something every week or month. Just like... Something, anything lol But I guess I've been getting well adapted to the reclusive life. Been getting a lot of reading done, revisiting old video games, movies. Gotta deal with the delt cards after all.
People in the fandom use creative skill and popularity as a metric of worthiness to engage in social interaction in a way that is incredibly toxic, and engenders a culture where people have to either create, or own something desirable in order to find a place of acceptance in wider social strata.

I do wish Marathon's Vault Breaker mode could drop the codex story stuff. Perhaps make it really a rare occurrence, but at least a slight chance. Like it's not gear that can be used against other players, and since they haven't given us a proper story campaign, seems like the bare minimum stand in.
I feel like having size 13 shoes/feet should come with at least 6'4"+ territory. Even my older taller brother wears 12s.
