The last few days were a complete blur, with my social media silence usually being a good indicator of me not having much time to post. Furciety was a lot more stressful than usual, but it was still a good experience, and I'm glad to have met as many old and new friends as I did.

Bruises resulted.Photo of Takeru, the floppy-eared border collie fursuiter, trying to hold down his ancient Greece-themed costume in a Marilyn Monroe-esque pose.Photo of the arcade room, which even included a very classic 1970s and a very modern virtual pinball machine, apart from all the consoles you could wish for.Photo of someone's badges dangling on a chair's backrest while the owner contemplates his life choices.

What we originally set out to do: Get groceries. What also ended up happening: @takiwuff.bsky.social spotting acorns that already sprouted roots in rather hopeless spots, picking them up on the way home, waiting until dark, stealing soil from a nearby forest, and planting our new children.

Photo of Taki digging up an acorn from the side of the road, with one having managed to take root in the tiny gap between two curb sections where the cycle and pedestrian paths intersect. He also had that shopping basket for longer than we've been together, which says a lot about how many shoppings and cons it experienced.Photo of Taki planting the acorns in flower pots with soil we just stole from a nearby forest, as I couldn't be bothered to move my car out of my fave parking spot to buy a much too large and expensive amount of flower soil at the hardware store. Please excuse the mess in the background. The balcony is going to be resurfaced soon, then I'll put everything back to where it normally resides.

A lot of rolling, coasting, waving, and thumbs-upping was done. Sadly, it rained non-stop during the first day... Ordinary rain felt like being pelted in the face by hail on fast coasters.

How quaint!
